Willie Varpilah

Willie Varpilah is a community-oriented person who has been a board member of AZCAAR for about two and a half years. He has been overseeing the Books and Barbershops program, which is aimed at enriching literacy initiatives within the community, making a meaningful difference in the lives of many families. Willie is also a proud father to two beautiful daughters and cherishes his family life. In his free time, he likes to seek new information and stay active by playing soccer. He has shown remarkable resilience and determination from a young age, having immigrated to the United States from Liberia to escape the civil war.

In addition to his community involvement, Willie is a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer with over 24 years of experience in the field. He has dedicated himself to refining processes and enhancing production efficiency. Willie graduated from the University of DeVry with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. In the past three and a half years, he has excelled in his position, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation beyond his professional endeavors.
